The War

Dark carried him all the way back to the cave.

Daniel was there with Scott and Arianna. There was also another person who appeared to be a women.

Dark sighed.

Daniel looked over at Dark and saw Florence. "Hey. What happened?"

"Who is this." Dark deposited Florence at the foot of the bed.

"Oh right." Daniel said. "This is my mother, Emily." She hardly looked like she was Daniel's mother. They were around the same age and the only thing they had in common was their eyes.

Dark started twitching. "Sure."

"It's true." Daniel said. He could understand why Dark had difficulty believing it, after all, he had hardly believed it at first.

Dark sighed. To her, it seemed very un fair.

Daniel looked at his mother and remembered that Dark still missed her own mother.

Dark was exausted. She looked at Emily and morphed into a cat. "Night." And thus, Dark went to sleep.

Daniel sighed. It seemed like so much stuff had happened today. Still, he was glad that everyone was okay.

Arianna poked Florence.

He began to wake up.

Dark couldn't sleep.

Florence looked over at Arianna.

Daniel decided he should go to sleep.

Arianna looked at him. Emily went to the guest bedroom. Scott slept on the floor.

Scott was used to the floor.

Florence wondered if Arianna was still upset with him.

"Are you ok?"

He nodded.

Dark just pretended to sleep.

Daniel was actually asleep.

Florence coughed up a little blood. That isn't good. He thought.

Dark noticed.

Florence looked around, wondering if anyone had noticed.

Dark's eyes shone in the dark behind him.
