Dark let him follow closely as they did the morning rounds. "Wanna go on wolves?"

"Wolves? Why wolves?"

"The whole forest."

"The whole forest what?"

"We have to cover the whole forest."

"I see." Daniel said. In his mind he was wearing a monocle.

"So wolves or trees?"

"Which involves less work?" Daniel asked.

Dark shrugged.

"Well which one pays more?"

"No money."

"Well then how are we supposed to pay the rent?"

"Rent?"

"We only have twenty four hours until the death ray fires and you're talking about rent?"

"Death ray?" Dark blinked. Maybe she was really still asleep.

"Death ray?!?" Daniel seemed to panic. He looked around frantically, as if expecting to find someone hiding behind every tree and under ever loose rock.

Dark just figured he was insane. "So? Wolves or trees?"

"They're both out to get me..."

DArk blinked at him. "This is a new level of insanity."

"You wouldn't understand." Daniel said. "The rocks told me so."

Dark wondered if he was rugged or something.

Daniel could hear the voices.

Dark understood that he was insaner than normal.

Daniel doubted that Dark understood why the world was spinning backwards.
