"Why don't you let me out of this cage and try saying that to my face!" Daniel shouted, still not believing what it was saying

They unlatched the cage but try as he might, Daniel couldn't escape.

Daniel would have gladly torn the creature to shreds if only he were out there with it. "What do you want from us anyways?" he asked, still angry at it

The human was talking to his friend. "The restrainer is working." the cage door smashed shut. As they left, the girl slightly uncurled. Her arms were exposed. They were lined with scars from needles.

"restrainer?" Daniel asked aloud, although he knew they couldn't hear him. His anger faded, and he turned back to the girl

She trembled and whined, as if plagued by unseen horrors.

Daniel wished he could comfort her, but he knew it was probably impossible

Daniel sighed. He figured he should get some sleep, but he couldn't help feeling like he had to do something to comfort her

She sighed and sank back into consciousness. her eyes opened and she stared emptily into space.

Daniel didn't pay much mind to the creatures this time. ~Brain issues?~ He thought. He hoped that they were mistaken, besides, she had been alright earlier

Daniel looked at his cellmate with pity. He doubted that she would be like that if she had never been to the lab

The girl blinked, coming out of her trance. "We will sell you them as a set," The human finished. "Set?" The girl whispered, fear in her eyes.
