Zaro's Path

"Moss?" He asked. "Moss," Dark explained. "is a soft plant that is comfortable. Rosie, instead of that, can you help me lift him i?" Dark lifted his legs.

"Why are you making such a fuss?" Darkfang asked. "it's not like he's our problem"

Dark fixed him with a glare that would have scared a full grown bear. "Anything that arrives at our cave hurt is my problem. When you arrived, you were hurt. I could have left you to die." She countered.

Darkfang knew that after looking after himself in the woods for a while on his own, arriving at the cave hadn't been much of an improvement. He did however, owe Dark alittle for fixing his arm.

"Now help me." She growled.

Darkfang got up and helped Dark to lift Zaro.

They set him down by Dark's sleeping area. Blankets has already been prepaered. Dark left to fetch some moss. Zaro smiled an evil grin. "You're girlfriend's gonna be mine." He sneered.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Darkfang asked. Dark wasn't his girlfriend.

"The chick's gonna be my girl, not your's, idiot!" Zaro grinned.

Darkfang felt like telling Zaro that he could have her, that he didn't like her like that, but he refused to let himself look weak infront of his newcomer. "We'll see" he replied.

"And when she's mine, we'll drop you and your losers at the lab!" Zaro continued.

"What do you know of the lab?!?" Darkfang hissed. No way this stranger could understand any of what he had gone through

"Escaped. But they'll give quite a fortune for you and the girl. On second thought, I'll leave her there with you!" He cackled.

"You're insane!" Darkfang exclaimed "and besides, if you turn us in, they'll just take you back too"

"No they wont!" He claimed. Leaping up, he grabbed Darkfang's hands, pushed himself against a wall, and made it look like Darkfang was attacking him. Dark rushed in. She flipped Darkfang onto his back and laid Zaro down.

The next thing Darkfang knew he was on the ground. "What was that for?" He asked "He was the one attacking me!"

"That's not what I saw." Dark growled, pinning Daniel against the cave wall.

"You can't seriously be buying his act!" Darkfang said. He couldn't understand how she was so easily fooled.

"Act. Buying this act." She was more angry than he had ever seen her. "You were strangling a shot person against a wall." Her word were strained.

"I wasn't doing anything!" Darkfang said. "He was threatening to turn us in to the hunters and then out of nowhere he assaulted me"

"Yeah. Like a wounded person would really do that." Dark sneered.

That Evening

Everyone was crowded around the campfire.

Darkfang didn't like fire too much so he stayed back, alone. ~How come she doesn't believe me?~ He asked himself

Zaro walked up to him. "She will come with me. And leave you to die," Zaro snarled.

"She's not going to fall for it forever" Darkfang said "eventually she'll find out the truth about you, and your head will sit outside the cave on a pike"

Zaro's eyes started to glow slightly as Darkfang's arms again started to choke Zaro. "Darkfang!" Dark's voice was clenched, as if she was holing back killing him. "What. Are. You. Doing."
