Scott reveals what happened

"I was there, hiding in the shadows, watching as your father escaped and they beat mine until he didn't move any longer" Scott said, tears forming in his eyes.

"Oh..."

Scott broke down. He hated his life, but he had to go on living. No matter what happened he had to keep the promise that he made

Dark patted his back.

Scott didn't want her sympathy. It was her father who was to blame, but still he did nothing but cry

Dark knew that. "Don't judge me by my father."

He stopped crying and wiped his eyes "I don't" he told her. He couldn't in all honesty be okay with her father doing what he did, but Scott decided that that shouldn't affect how he felt towards her. She probably wasn't even born at the time

"I never even met my father."

Scott sighed "They never did find out I saw him die though. And I was taken in by them a few years beforehand along with another little boy. I treated him like a brother and they treated us well until they took him away. I almost didn't recognize him the first time I saw him, but all I know is that I promised to protect him"

"Where is he now?"

Scott pointed at Daniel. "I know it's him. I recognized him when I say him the lab not long after they took my brother"

Dark looked at Daniel.

Daniel remembered the boy in his memory strands with brown hair and the different colored eyes. Could it be that he actually was Scott's adopted brother?

Dark dropped Daniel and ran to the cave exit.

Daniel let out a startled cat noise as he was dropped. Scott watched Dark run off ~Where was she going?~

Dark climbed to her comfort place, where she went when life got crazy.

Daniel followed her, still a cat

Dark lay down on the cave roof, listening to the earth.

Scott fell back onto the ground. Maybe he had told them too much. He figured if he had told them his and his brother's foster father was the big scary man known as Gustav who was in charge of all the lab things would have been worse

Dark closed her eyes. They became wet.

Daniel crawled up on her stomach and tried to comfort her

Dark pushed him off.

Daniel was pushed off of her. Sad, he padded off to the forest to be alone

dark just wanted to die.

Daniel couldn't help feeling like he had done something wrong. Why was Dark so upset? Was it his fault?
