Literally at the lab

"Help me move this bed." Scott told her.

Dark just shredded it.

Pieces of metal and concrete fell to the floor. There wasn't a mattress on the bed, most likely so sleeping on it would cause discomfort. Scott moved the pieces off of the top of the trapdoor and opened it.

Dark looked down it.

There was a ladder that led down into darkness. It was impossible to tell how far down it went.

Dark went down.

Scott waited until she was far enough down before he started to climb down. He told Daniel to stay there and stand watch.

Dark looked up.

Scott was quite a few feet above her. "What is it?" he asked, noticing she had stopped

"The floor!"

"What about it?"

"I found it."

"Oh." Scott said. "Well since you're down there do you think you could make some light?"

Dark lit a flame in her hand.

Scott climbed the rest of the way down. He noticed that on the left side there was a wall, but on the right there was a row of bars that continued on into the darkness. He figured it was some sort of giant cage or cell.

"C'mon, there are unlit torches on the walls." Dark took one and lit it.

Scott also took one. Something about this place gave him chills, and he thought he heard a noise from the other side of the bars.

Dark heard a noise she swung her torch to the bars and gasped.

Scott turned to look at whatever it was behind the bars

There was a boy, with cat ears and a wired tag. He looked thin and starved, like he had been in here for years. His ears were brown and his hair was also brown. His face was streaked wit mud and blood, like he faced many thrashings. His red shirt was almost a rag, and his amber eyes looked forlorn, like there was no way he was going to see is friends and family, that is, if they were still alive.

There was a different emotion in Dark's eyes. A mixture of joy, anger, and love. Obviously she knew this boy.

Scott looked at this boy. He was in horrible condition and it seemed to be a miracle that he was even alive. He noticed that Dark seemed to know them. "Who is that?" he asked her.

Dark had tears in her eyes she reached her hand through the bars. "Alpha..."

Scott was still didn't know who that was. "Are you sure you should be reaching through the bars like that?" he asked.

The boy touched her hand. Dark broke down the bars. "Alpha's my brother."

There was a low growl from somewhere in the darkness far away. It sounded like a rather large creature. "That's nice." Scott said, not noticing the noise.
