The War

"Come on, the leaves aren't that hard."

"right." Daniel said. He didn't mention that he had landed on his leg and it was now broken and bleeding.

"Get that fixed." She pointed to his leg. 'It's not that serious.'

He looked at it. It seemed odd to him that Dark didn't even care that his leg was broken. Had the war really desensitized her so much?

Ariana wanted to see it. Dark came down.

Daniel got up, which only made his leg bleed more. He looked around for a stick or something to support his weight.

Ariana touched it. A healing light came from her fingers and healed him.

OOC: Dark's mom had that power.

OOC: cool.

IC: Daniel watched. He was quite surprised when his leg was healed.

OOC: y thx.

IC: "Good girl!" Dark praised Ariana.

Daniel looked at Dark. "You didn't have to push me out of the tree you know."

"Did I?"

Daniel rolled his eyes.

Dark dropped off Ariana in Light's care. "Come on, let's take a ride around the colonies."

"Okay." Daniel said.

They went the only way, by the canals that made the streets.

Daniel hadn't really seen much of the colonies before.

People waved to Dark. "It's just like it was when I was growing up."

"How so?"

"Well, before they were all charred and barren, 'cause...the lab killed them all." Dark felt tears in her eyes. 'My mom died protecting all of them."

Daniel felt bad for bringing it up.

"But now, seeing it, alive and happy." Dark smiled.

Daniel couldn't relate, but he was glad Dark was happy.

"I think your mom escaped here just before you were born.

"It's possible."

"'cause, if you're lab borne, you'd have no abilities."
