The War

Seven was engulfed in flames.

Scott arrived in time to see the boy burn alive. He saw Daniel's dead body on the bed and the gun. It was an old revolver with an 'S' engraved in it that seemed all too familiar.

Dark was trying to save Daniel. "If he died, all rough labs in the city shall roast, one by one."

Scott looked at the gun and then the wound in Daniel's head. Even if they had a brain surgeon it was unlikely that they could save him. The bullet would be lodged about halfway through his head.

They couldn't save him, and Zaro scooted in, with more bad news. "Alpha was killed by the same assasin." Dark set herself on fire. "One by one!"

Scott felt like something was off about this whole thing. Still, the revolver was the only clue he needed to figure out who the one behind Daniel's murder was. The only trouble was figuring out how to explain it to the others.

Dark went off into the city. Not bothering to morph.

Scott looked over at Zaro. He could help but feel like Dark had no idea what she was doing.

Zaro was scared.

Scott wondered if he should tell Zaro who the real killer was.

Dark knew he knew some thing.

Scott couldn't help but feel bad for stalling, but he wasn't sure who he could trust.

"Tell me or I'm rip out your spleen."

"Gustav" Scott said simply. He knew it was true, though he doubted the others would believe him.

"Yeahhhh."

"Didn't you notice anything odd about that kid, like the fact that he looked like a complete clone of me when I was sixteen? Or the fact that He stalled when telling you his name?"

Dark didn't really remember Scott that well when he was 16. He looked very different now. And his hair wasn't green anymore.

"More importantly, the gun he used was the very same revolver I carried around as a kid." Scott said. "Some one created a clone of me to kill Daniel. I think the fact that it was Gustav should have been obvious."

"Where'd he get it then."

"Well, I got rid of it when Light made me learn to fight with things other than guns. It's possible that he just found it lying around."

"The bears would have gotten to him, remember those guys? Few years back?"

"But if you remember, he had his body turned into some sort of weird gel or slime or whatever. He is pretty much immortal like that."

Dark couldn't find a good reason. "Then it's your fault."

"How is it my fault?!?"

"You left the gun." Dark tried to attack him but was held back by Zaro and medics. The tranquilized her. "I hate you." She said before Dark slipped into nightmare after nightmare.
