The War

He was glad she finally let go. However, he soon noticed that he had nothing to do.

She pointed and giggled.

The boy sighed and went to go watch the fishies with Ariana.

There was a silver one, and Cory the dolphin.

The boy wasn't sure what was so interesting about them.

"Oh, hey Cory," Dark said to the dolphin.

The boy wondered why she was talking to a fish.

"I'm a mammal you idiot!" Cory yelled at him.

The was taken aback. How had the creature read his thoughts? He wasn't even aware that it could speak.

Dark let Arianna ride Cory. Arianna laughed. "Sweet kid." Cory said, showing that he had a scar on his left eye when he turned to smile.

The boy found the talking fis- er... mammal to be entertaining. Still, he was growing rather bored.

"Who's the new kid?"

The boy wondered if they were referring to him.

"He can't talk so..."

Now he was almost certain they were referring to him.

They didn't really care. "Without you, we would have lost the war for sure" Dark smiled at Cory.

War? The boy wondered. He had never heard of such a thing.

"There was a great war between us and the lab."

The boy seemed intrigued by this.

"Lots of people dies=8d."

The boy seemed somewhat saddened by this.

"It was very hard."

So, who won? The boy wondered. Clearly neither side was completely destroyed, so it was sort of unclear who the victor was.

"We won."

The boy figured that made at least a little sense.
