Sleep Experiments With Dark

Dark served pasta for everyone.

The judge had some. Daniel was still unconscious and bleeding.

Alpha fixed him up.

The judge looked at Daniel. "Is he going to be alright?"

"Yes." Dark got ready for night. She had first watch. "You sleep there." She pointed to the extra bed.

"Oh. Okay then."

"Gustav says you know too much, so, you have to stay with us for a while, sorry, but they'll kill you." Dark said.

"It's quite alright," the Judge replied. He didn't fully understand what was going on, but decided to trust the half-breeds.

"So, I suggest, eating dinner and going to sleep." Dark was on watch. "Alpha's on watch next anyway."

The judge did as Dark suggested.

Dark traded with Alpha in the middle on the night and went to sleep in her bed until dawn.

The judge and Daniel just slept.

Dark made eggs for breakfast. At around seven, sun time, she nudged everybody awake with her foot.

Daniel was awake. He was feeling better now that his wound had mostly healed.

"Eggs?" Dark offered.

Daniel had some.

"Hey Judge dude! Wake up."

The judge woke up. He seemed to have enjoyed staying asleep.

"Here, you call it sleeping in if you sleep past dawn."

The judge stretched. "But why? What good does waking up so early do you?"

"We get more done. And get to sleep longer for nap time."

"I suppose." Nap time?

"We are cat hybrids you know. Cats sleep a lot." Alpha said.

The judge, being human and all, wasn't entirely used to that.

"Okay, jobs for today: Daniel, gather firewood, the sticks on the ground. Dark, water, and lots of it. Judge dude, go with Dark. I'll work on traps and defenses."
