The War

Dark was covered in blood when she returned to the outside.

Daniel gave up looking for the hawk and met Dark outside.

Singe was perched of Dark's shoulder. "Where are the wolf lovers?"

Daniel looked around. "No clue."

Dark heard a scream and loaded an arrow.

Daniel wondered who was screaming this early in the morning.

Dark advanced until she saw Sonya and Glen.

Daniel followed her.

"What happened?"

Daniel was also curious.

Glen was dead.

"What happened?" Daniel asked.

Dark looked at Sonya for an explanation.

Sonya wasn't sure what to tell them.

"What happened?"

Sonya seemed to be thinking.

In a sudden burst of darkness a teenager in a dark cloak appeared in the room.

Dark immediately had an arrow notched, aimed at his heart. Dark didn't like dark-cloaked teenagers suddenly appearing.

The boy didn't even look at Dark. "Don't bother, weapons like that won't do anything."

"Who are you. What do you want. Never do that."

"My name is Edmund." the boy said as a large scythe appeared in his hand. "I'm here for the soul of Illyena Malark."

Sonya looked ready to attack.

"Well I'm sure you'll find many souls here."

Sonya leapt at the boy, but he swiftly dodged. As he readied his scythe, his phone suddenly started to go off. He pulled it out and checked his messages. "It would seem, as much as her soul is needed, I'm not permitted to interfere with mortals, except those on the brink of death."

"Oh? Any why must you need her soul?" Dark now was getting to see that the boy was part of the undead.

"She has messed with the order of the world and avoided death for thirteen years. As a Reaper, I cannot simply sit by and let this continue."

"Why? I haven't heard of reapers before." Dark said seriously.
