The War

Daniel wasn't sure what it was, but he agreed.

Dark distanced herself and called out in her best Clone voice. "Hey Flory!"

Florence was leaving the lab when he heard someone calling him.

"Flory, where are you?"

Florence headed towards the voice, though something told him not to.

Dark waited until he was in sight. "Flory, don't you have a mission?"

Florence looked at Dark.

Dark was hidden.

Florence knew that it wasn't Marissa who had been calling to him.

Dark had her bow drawn. "Long live the Queen." She muttered and fired at his heart.

Florence stumbled backwards as the arrow pierced his chest. He looked down at it, not sure what had just happened.

Dark narrowed her eyes. She took an ordinary knife and fired. "Ten points skull!"

The knife grazed the side of his head. Blood ran down the side of his face.

Dark watched. "Twenty points heart!" She aimed for his stomach though.

The knife dug into his stomach.

Dark grinned. "What's wrong Flory? Can't take a hit?"

Florence snapped the shaft of the arrow in two and pulled the knife out of his stomach. He grimaced at the pain and the blood was new, but he wasn't going to die.

"What's wrong, Darky, can't get a boyfriend?" Dark's eyes widened at the voice. "Clone." She growled.

Florence heard Marissa but he stayed back. He decided that Dark could handle this on her own.

Dark drew her poisoned arrow. 'Where?' A speck of dark hair caught her eye. Dark fired and Clone fell from the tree, arrow piercing her body.

Florence wondered if she was dead.

"You're a fool, Florence." Clone snarled.

Florence knew she was right. He had let himself get tricked so easily like that.

Clone then died. Dark's body dropped from the trees in front of his face. "A true fool."

Florence had no business with Dark. Marissa was dead now, so he had no reason to talk to her.
