The War

"Maybe go to the bar and get a new wife." Dark taunted.

Daniel wasn't sure why Dark was insulting him when their daughter could be in danger.

While Daniel was distracted the dark haired boy had drawn a sword. He swung it at Daniel, attempting to slice his throat. The attempt was thwarted, however, as a figured quickly moved out of the shadows and into the way of the blade. The blocked it with their arm.

Dark jumped down, keeping her composure. She also grabbed a sword from a crevasse. "You have twenty seconds. Explain."

Daniel wasn't sure what had just happened.

The dark haired boy wasn't sure what had just happened. The next thing he knew he was being punched in the face by the person who blocked his attack.

Dark was entertained. She shrunk her sword to dagger length. "Alright boys." She said with a little smile. "Time to explain yourselves." Dark separated them.

The newcomer looked at Dark.

Daniel wondered why he seemed familiar.

"This boy works for Gustav." The person explained. "He was trying to split you guys up and kill you off."

Dark laughed. "I'm a tough one to kill, buddy." Dark grinned and tossed her dagger back. "Even without a weapon," Dark extended her claws. "These babies don't break."

"So is he." The newcomer said. He took the sword from the dark haired boy and thrust it into his stomach. The boy didn't even flinch. "He's made of the same slime as Gustav."

Dark looked the boy who tried to kill Daniel. "No one." Dark was frowning at him. "Hurts my family." Dark thrust her claws in and shot as much electricity into his body as possible. "This is is the start of anew war."

The newcomer let go of the sword. The boy smirked. He wasn't sure if Dark actually thought electricity would do anything.

Dark grinned darkly. "I'm not going to kill you. I'm going to make you suffer." Dark's grin widened.

"Servants of the Master do not feel pain." The boy remarked.

Dark chuckled. "Gustav is a monster, monsters always feel pain." Dark spat in his face. "You dirty idiot." Dark knew it wasn't Florence.

The boy also knew he wasn't Florence. As, the physical lack of any nerves made feeling pain difficult. The sword was absorbed into the boy's stomach.

The newcomer wondered if Dark had the common sense to step back.

"Go find your daughter." Dark ordered Daniel.

Daniel nodded and went to go find Arianna.

Arianna was sitting on a curb.

Daniel approached her slowly.

She saw him.

"Hey."

'...'

He took it she was still upset.

Arianna did not take kindly to being called stupid by her father.

Daniel apologized.

Arianna just wanted to go home.
