The War

Dark glanced at Daniel, remembering that weird judge-boy.

Daniel also remembered the weird judge-boy.

"Not that idiot."

Edmund nodded. "It would seem you've already met Damien. He, along with another Reaper known as Felix, wiped out five members of the Twelve. The sixth, Joshua (or as he prefers to be called 'Death'), managed to kill Felix, but was greatly wounded. Damien killed him easily. As of right now, eleven gates are open and Gustav practically has the twelfth key in his hand."

Dark whined softly. "I wish I ate him while I had the chance."

"If you had it wouldn't have changed anything." Edmund told her. "He would still have become a Reaper and fought for Gustav."

"Shut up."Dark sighed. "So, reaper harming weapons tally: Soul's Bane. Anything else?"

"Well, when Florence wakes back up his scythe will be able to harm Reapers, still it's best if we..." Edmund stopped. He looked over at the scythe.

Dark sighed. "Poison? Fire? Stuff like that?"

Edmund shook his head. "Nothing like that will work. However, if we kill Damien with Soul's bane and open the Gate to Hell, it is possible that we could somehow push Gustav into it and have Daniel seal on of the gates with Soul's Bane before any demons manage to cross through..."

"Why not me?"

"What?"

"Why can't I seal it up?"

"The blades will only bond to those with a soul of a Reaper. Trying to bind the blade to yourself would kill you."

Dark looked incredibly confused. "But he's like me."

Edmund looked at Daniel. He realized that Daniel and Dark were unaware. "Physically he is like you, but his soul is different. The reason is because his father-". A glare from Emily stopped Edmund from finishing.

Dark sighed. "So another reason I'm inferior to men?" She was being sarcastic. "Well fight your way there without me," Dark got up to leave.

"No one said you were inferior, Daniel is just a special case." Emily told Dark.

"You're the best fighter out of all of us." Edmund said. "We can't do this without you."

Dark gave a snort. "I know."

Scott had absolutely no idea what everyone was talking about. He was extremely confused.

Daniel wondered what exactly his mother was talking about.

Edmund looked at the two of them for a moment before looking back at Dark. "This is our only chance to put an end to Gustav. Will you help us?"

"F*ck yeah."

Edmund was glad that Dark had agreed to help. Still, the evil presence was growing stronger and he knew that their time was running out. If they didn't do something soon everything would be lost.

"How long to we have"

"We have a few hours at most." Edmund told her. He sensed that the Gate was still closed, but it wouldn't be that way for much longer.

Dark grabbed a staff and gave soul's bane to Daniel.
