The War

He took note of this.

DArk was not very interesting when she slept.

He also took note of that. He noticed that Florence and Cassandra were cuddling. Odd, they sure don't act like a couple.

Diane was sitting in a corner.

Joshua looked over at Diane. He wondered if she had noticed had close Florence and Cassandra had suddenly become.

Diane decided to ignore it. Dark decided to face the morning.

Joshua noticed that Dark was waking up.

Dark looked at him and yawned.

"Good morning." Joshua said politely.

"It's still morning?"

"I suppose."

"Food, anyone?"

Joshua and Daniel wanted food.

Dark went to warm up some pancakes.

Daniel suddenly noticed how many people there were.

Dark wondered if all of them wanted pancakes.

Daniel wasn't about to wake them all up and ask them.

Dark got five pancakes and brought them out on a plate. Dark took one.

Daniel and Joshua both took pancakes. Damien looked at them with tired eyes.

Dark looked at the others. "Thought reapers don't like to eat. Or drink. Or sleep. Or breathe."

"Usually they don't." Joshua said.

"It's because our powers are beginning to fade." Damien said. He was likely too tired to have any idea what he was talking about.

"What do you mean?"

"Obviously, something in the area is causing our powers to decay, turning us back into mortals." He said with a yawn. "Probably something really powerful that's trying to gain even more power by stealing ours."

Dark was rather used to this by now. "Well. Let's go kill it."

"But we have no idea what it is."

"Actually..." Joshua said, "if he is telling the truth, then I think I know what is causing this, though I doubt it's intentional."
