The War

"Not quite." Florence said. "However, Reapers do posses the ability to instantly kill someone with a single touch."

Dark looked at him. "What I just said."

"No, I don't have to kill people when I touch them. It's just something I can do."

"I want to slap you so much right now."

Florence just wanted to find the person who stole his power and take it back so he could go home to Venezia.

"The person you call Marissa is the same person I killed. She is a failed clone of me and we call her Clone. She is the reason we had a four year war.

"But she isn't really Marissa is she?" Florence asked. He had met Marissa in Italy, which was a considerable distance from here.

"She had...access to...you don't want to know."

Florence wasn't sure what Dark was talking about.

"That's why she was in Italy. Wherever that is."

"So it was her." Florence seemed really bothered by this.

"Yes."

Florence seemed oddly depressed.

Dark didn't care.

Daniel seemed distracted by something.

Arianna was napping.

Daniel's ear twitched. He looked over at Dark, not entirely sure what was causing the faint ringing he heard.

Dark's ears twitched in reply, meaning, she didn't know.

Florence couldn't hear it as he didn't have sensitive hearing.

Dark wanted to talk to Florence out side.

Florence wasn't sure why, but he went outside.

"Listen, Florence," Dark growled. "Don't touch my family, don't touch my friends, and most importantly, don't touch me. Nothing funny. I am the boss of you. You know, Florence, I should be dead. I'm not. I know people, powerful people. I can have you killed ten times over of have you in agony anytime I want. I lead a group of unexperienced people into war. I won. I am the ruler of this forest. This is not a 'nice animal' forest. I have several armies." Dark looked him in the eyes, dead serious. "I know about sparks, Florence. Fear death, Florence, fear death." Dark walked off, tone changing completely when she started talking to her family. Her words still echoed in Florence's head.

Normally Florence would have taken her words as a joke, but without his powers he was pretty much waiting to die anyways. Even if he did have them, that blade he had given to Daniel seemed to be able to kill Reapers, or at least Sonya thought so.

Dark got her favorite dress ready. There was going to be a great festival.

Daniel had no idea what had just happened outside, but it didn't really seem to bother him. He was helping Dark to prepare for the festival.
