The War

Dark would wear her black dress, which clung to her skin and make her look like she was made of shadows.

Daniel didn't really have a special outfit for festivals.

Dark got him his tuxedo. Arianna wore her blue dress.

Daniel didn't like tuxedos, but he but it on anyways.

"I made some adjustments." Dark told him. "It's more comfortable. No?" Dark smiled at him.

Daniel agreed. It was far more comfortable than a normal tuxedo.

Dark smiled. "Maybe Florence can wear one of your older ones."

Florence wasn't too fond of the idea.

Dark got one out. "Changing room is around the corner."

Florence took it and went to the changing room.

Dark fixed Arianna's dress while she waited.

Florence came back in the tux. It was slightly big on him.

"Let me fix it." Dark moved toward him, giving clear warning that she was about to touch his skin.

He didn't seem to mind.

"Better?" Dark had made it slightly smaller and more comfortable.

Florence nodded.

"Good. Now, don't kill people. People might dance with you. That requires touching." Dark narrowed her eyes at him.

"Dance?" Florence asked. He had never done that when he was alive, and even if he had, that was a long time ago.

"Yes, a popular one is the switchback. It is preformed with two couples. Any dance is done, and periodically, the couples switch partners."

"I'll probably just sit that out."

"I don't know if you know any dances." Dark said. "You can just hang out at the bar-" Tears began to well up in her eyes, "Sorry, it's just, Scott used to do the very same thing."

Florence didn't know this Scott person, but they seemed to be dear to Dark.

"He was a close friend." Dark wiped her eyes and put on a happy face. "When I die, I'll see them again." Dark sighed.

Daniel didn't like all this talk of death.

"Okay." Dark went up to the stage. "Attention, people of Lycar! As you may have already heard, Gustav is dead!" A cheer went up and everybody started dancing when Dark turned on the music. Dark and Daniel quickly joined them.
