The War

Dark, being Dark, groaned. "For once in my life, can thing be normal, like my mate not be possessed by a demon."

Florence's scythe suddenly flashed and Edmund transformed.

Florence was glad to be back in his body. Still, the situation was troublesome.

The demon disappeared again.

Dark was slightly amused.

Florence sensed that the demon had reappeared, but he couldn't see it. He could feel it charging some sort of attack. He also could tell that the attack was aimed directly at Dark. Being Florence, he quickly moved himself into the path of the attack.

A massive orange beam fired from out of nowhere and moved at a speed far too quick to dodge. Still, Florence absorbed most of the damage.

"You want to save me now?" Dark could hear and smell the demon, like archery practice. She quickly formed a metal bow and closed her eyes. Arrows obediently formed from air. She notched three and aimed for it. "Ten points for heart, 20 for lungs, 30 for stomach."

"A mortal like you wouldn't have survived that attack." Florence said. "But you may be able to bring Daniel back to his senses, so I can't have you dying."

The demon realized that Dark to sense it and disappeared. Florence took note of this. It's presence seemed to have vanished from this plane of existence.

Dark could do that for short periods of time. "What do you mean? I've faced hell but not demons possessing my loved ones."

"It's possible that Daniel's still in there somewhere. If you can find someway to get him to become his self again..." Florence sensed a large amount of energy. It seemed similar to the demon, but at the same time it was far more powerful. He looked over at the portal to see a large demon attempting to make its way through.

Dark sensed that this would end badly. She dashed to restrain the demon, spitting out never ending streams of cursing in the languages of multiple species.

Florence was distracted by the other demon and so he hadn't noticed the demon possessing Daniel had snuck up behind him. It thrust its hand through his chest. Blood shot out and Florence felt great pain. After absorbing the previous attack he was too low on power to split his soul again, like he had done when Gustav nearly killed him.

The demon removed its hand and looked over at Dark. Florence collapsed to the ground.

Dark noticed both. "Why hello there!" She waved, smiling. She form started to become twitchy.

The demon that was Daniel began to absorb orange energy from the larger demon. Doing so made him stronger.

Dark noticed. She became a rather large black panther, her form still twitching.

OOC: It's will be important in a second.

The demon just watched. It didn't care what Dark looked like, its only instinct was to kill.

Dark stood still, on her hind legs like a human. She gave a very eerie smile. "F*ck you, I have to support my family. I don't care who you possess. You idiot."

The demon didn't respond.

Dark calmly padded over to it. "No brain huh? Too bad, you'd never survive a war."

A shockwave of orange energy shot forth from the demon sending all of the thing in the room, including the bodies, to the walls.

It passed through Dark.

The next attack was more orange energy in the form of lightning. It was far more powerful than anything Daniel could do, and in fact it was more powerful than any lightning Daniel could survive.

Everything phased through Dark.

The demon charged up another beam attack.

It wouldn't affect Dark. She would absorb the energy.

The demon fired the beam. After getting energy from the other demon its attacks had become more powerful. Even Florence wouldn't have been able to survive this attack.

There was Dark, surviving and growing more powerful. "I'm not Florence."
