The War

"After what he has witness here today, it is unlikely that he will ever come after you or your child again." Gaia told Dark.

Dark laughed. "You're kidding me."

Gaia didn't understand how it was funny.

"he's chased me all my life. He's coming after me. Maybe not today, but he is."

Gaia shook her head. "Mortals who have experienced death will live in fear of it for the rest of their lives."

Scott knew she was telling the truth.

Dark snorted. "Suuuuurrrrrrrrrre. And I can fly."

"Believe it or don't. It is still true."

Florence looked over at Daniel. He suddenly had an idea on how to return him to life.

Gaia understood what Florence was thinking. "That would never work. His mortal soul would be consumed instantly."

"Don't worry about that. It will work, trust me."

Dark cocked her head slightly. 'What?'

"Florence believes that if I take Daniel's body and soul to Heaven and then return them here, it will purify them."

"Well, that's pretty much how his body was filled with all the Chaos energy in the first place."

"What about that immortal soul thing." Dark had no idea what she was saying.

"Don't be silly." Florence said. "Daniel isn't immortal. His soul is just alittle... different from other mortals."

"Different how."

One of the eleven cloaked figures stepped forward and answered. "His soul is half mortal and half Reaper." They said.

"So? My father was an ex-reaper." Dark had decided it was ok to say that.

"Is that so?" Gaia asked. "And what the name of this ex-Reaper?"

"I don't know. My mother always said I was too young."

"Interesting." Gaia said.

Florence wasn't sure what to make of this. Still, an ex-Reaper was just a mortal, so it made sense that Dark's soul looked like that of an ordinary cat.

That also explained why Dark was stronger than Florance.

Florence thought about that. Whoever this Reaper was, they would had to have been far more powerful than him, and he was almost on the same level as Joshua. If a Reaper stronger than the Twelve existed, why was it that he had never heard of them before?

Dark didn't know much about her family.

Florence could tell. He looked over at Gaia and noticed that Daniel was laying beside her. He was no longer dead, but he was still unconscious.

Dark noticed this.

Gaia looked over at Dark. "He should wake up soon."

"Thanks."

Scott was just sitting there, minding his own business.
