The War

Florence poked Dark.

Dark hissed. Dark didn't like to be poked.

Florence stopped poking people.

Dark was content.

"But in all seriousness," Joshua said to Florence, "the other Reapers probably still think you're responsible for killing all of us, so it would be in your best interest to remain hidden until I explain things to them."

Dark showed Florence a crack in the wall. "Squeeze through there, and there's a room.

Florence squeezed through the crack in the wall.

The room was not very spacious.

Florence sighed. He figured it would be alright for the time being, he just hoped he wouldn't have to stay in the room for too long.

There were leaves in cracks in the wall.

Florence looked at the leaves.

They were Dark's leaves.

He wondered what they did.

They healed things. Dark popped her head in. She had no trouble getting into small spaces. "It's holding a private wolf orientation thing. Two people besides me. Wanna come?"

Florence nodded.

Dark ducked out and asked Joshua if he would like to participate.

Joshua wasn't sure he wanted to participate.

Dark assured him it was safe.

Joshua sighed. "I guess I could participate."

Dark smiled. "Don't worry. Small crowd, older wolves. They know exactly what they're doing." Dark said.

Joshua was only slightly comforted by this.

It was at sunrise.

Joshua wondered how longer it would be until the sun rose.

It was fast waiting. Dark motioned for Florence and Joshua to follow. She walked outside the cave and went in the direction of the practice grounds.

Joshua and Florence followed Dark, though they weren't exactly sure where they were headed.
