The War

There was a collection of wolves, older adult wolves, chatting softly about the weather, prey, and clan affairs. They perked up when they saw Dark. A large, gold wolf greeted them. "Hello, I'm Gold, leader of the Pack." He was an elderly wolf, but he still looked strong.

Joshua was shaking.

"Um, hello." Florence said.

Gold looked at Joshua. "Something wrong, sir?"

"N-n-no sir." Joshua said.

Florence sighed.

"There's nothing to worry about." A silver wolf calmly said.

"Yeah, just calm down." Florence said to Joshua.

"That's easy for you to say." Joshua snapped.

Gold shrugged. "Well, better show you the bygriss positions." Dark explained that a bygriss was a group of wolves running together.

OOC: Do you enjoy making up random words?

IC: Florence just watched and tried to calm down Joshua.

OOC: Actually, it's from the Wolves of the Beyond. It's a good book series.

IC: Gold explained positions in great detail.

OOC: Weird. I'm sure if my dad met whoever the author of that series was, he'd probably shoot them.

IC: Florence did his best to pay attention and understand.

OOC: Kathryn Lasky. Why? It's a good series. Wolves.

IC: Dark explained anything they might not understand.

OOC: Well, he's an english major, so he thinks of books as a holy thing and he hates it when people make up words. He's also in the military.

IC: Florence was grateful.

OOC: He's weird. I see books as some of the best things in the world. I don't care about make up words, it's their book, and I decided to read it.

IC: Gold decided to let them go for a run in a travel bygriss formation.

OOC: I guess it's just cuz he went to college and stuff. He also said once that when people use incorrect grammar that it hurts him physically.

IC: Florence and Joshua just stood there.

OOC: He is insane.

IC: Dark asked if they needed help mounting Bronze and Silver.

OOC: Wow. That's alittle too far.

IC: They both shook their heads.

Dark told them to mount the wolves. "They're not going to eat you. You guys are going to run in the three types of bygrysses to get a feel for them." Dark sighed as she mounted Gold.

They both mounted the wolves. Joshua felt really uncomfortable.

Bronze gave him a nice smile. "When we get the signal to go fast, I'll tell you, and you can hold on to my ruff."

Florence began to wonder why Joshua was being such as wuss.

Silver gave him a dark smile. "I love it when we run fast, and I get to run point!"

Florence wasn't sure how to respond.

"Sometimes, we get to climb trees! It's awesome!" She gave a jump.

Florence sighed. Silver seemed way too excited about things.

Broze looked at Silver. "Calm down, you'll scare him." Bronze looked back at Joshua. "Comfy up there? You don't weigh much, so it won't be very bumpy."
